IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dr Hans R Bance

Dear Patients

After over 30 years of service here at the practice, I have decided that the time is now right for me to fully retire from General Practice.

There have been many exciting changes in the practice and these are continuing to help us thrive going into the future.

It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to have been able to treat you all over the years and to be part of the Castleford & Methley community.

Thank you.

I wish you all the very best.

Dr Hans R Bance

NEWS ARTICLE: Improving Access

Improving access to general practice: evening and weekend appointments now available

Patients who are registered at this practice can now book an appointment to see a GP or nurse on weekday evenings (after 6.30pm) or at the weekends (on Saturday and Sunday). Appointments will take place at Trinity Medical Practice Wakefield and Pontefract General Infirmary. Talk to your practice receptionist to find out more or book an appointment.

By March 2019 everyone in England will benefit from access to general practice appointments in the evenings and weekends at a time that is most convenient to them. This is part of a national drive to help improve access to general practice and get the best possible outcomes for patients. Further information is available at www.england.nhs.uk/gpaccess

Hospital Referrals

doctor_prescribingIf your doctor needs to refer you to a hospital for further examination or treatment then the Practice uses the NHS “Choose & Book” system which enables you to be seen at any hospital of your choice offering that service.  Your doctor will discuss with you the available options.

Please note that, if you are entitled to NHS transport, then this usually would be only to the closest hospital offering the service which you require.  This does not mean that you cannot be seen at a different hospital of your choice, it means simply that you may have to make your own arrangements for travel.
